SoulSilver Dream Team (comic at end!)

I've been drawing Pokemon for as long as I've been into doodling. I didn't have any reoccurring characters until Pokemon SoulSilver (and HeartGold) came out, though. For the first time, my Pokemon each had their own distinct personalities and it became part of my Pokemon playing experience. I started drawing comic strips of my adventures and they're back stories and incorporating they're personalities. I loved it. I even created a tumblr for my male Flaafy (he's obviously an Ampharos, now).
Who are they, you ask?

Well, theres:

Charlie, the Meganium

Lax nature, "Often lost in thought", Charlie is the leader. He is my first Pokemon and so, as I catch more members of the team, he feels the need to welcome them to the team, warmly. He's very strong and very friendly. He's not the brightest but he is loyal to the end.

Blair, the Gengar

The trickster of the group! Blair loves to play pranks on the others and can come off rather mean at first. She likes to tease, especially Sparky. Despite this, she cares about her teammates a lot. If they are wronged, she will do whatever it takes to bring justice to those that wrong her friends.

Tessa, the Poliwrath

Tessa, for all of her power and intimidation, is the silliest and most scatterbrained of the team. She's often found staring off into the distance, thinking deep and meaningful things. She can be a tad forgetful but she's very upbeat and loves playing games.

Sparky, the Ampharos

Sparky was caught the same day as Tessa and therefore considers the Poliwrath his sister. The two of them are very close. Sparky, since his introduction, has been very insecure about himself. As the only male Mareep among his siblings, he felt the need to be strong and powerful. Through his journey he learns that these things are not the most important and that gender should not restrict who you become. Despite this, his Flaafy years were his roughest. He never heard the end of it from Blair.

Jade, the Tyranitar

Jade came a bit later in the game and was hard to read at first. She jumped at the chance to partner up with a trainer and battle, though. Intimidating though she may be, she's very protective. She's the only one who has called Blair out on her behavior (and more than once). She respects Charlie as the "leader" of the group, but it wasn't an easy thing for her to accept at first. In the end, the two started working together and they realized that two heads really were better than one.

and Eva, the Skarmory

Last but not least is Eva. Like Jade, she became part of the team late in the game. Last, in fact. The others weren't sure how to approach her at first, whether they were scared or too shy. Charlie, of course, welcomed her just as he did the others. Eva doesn't say much to the others, mostly lost in thought or very focused on the battle, but when she does speak it's usually very profound. The others still don't quite have her figured out.

Phew! Now that I've thrown all of that back story at you, here's today's comic!

What do you think, reader? Would you like to hear more from these characters? Snippets here and there, or right from the beginning? It would be nice to have one particular story arc to work with for my posts. Let me know what you think!

TTFN,
Billie
